The decline of taste
I know that I'm not the bastion of all tastefulness, but really, sometimes I see it declining before my eyes. Pretty soon it's going to be all felted birdhouses.
I couldn't resist this pillow at 70% off at Joann, though. Nor could I resist Caron Simply Soft Brights in Mango at 2.49/skein. I do not have any plan for it. I will probably swatch with it and wash the swatch and bang it around a bit to see what kind of item this is suited for. Yarn snobs, hold your tongues or I'll turn you into a Pound Of Love!

I didn't see a pillow!!!! I bought a little ornament thing featuring that knitting witch about a month ago. I guess we have equally "bad"/weird taste. Add to that, I also like to share in that I bought 2 more ornaments, one for my secret pal 5 and one for another knitting friend.

Ok... while I am a yarn snob - I have to admit that I LOVEEEEEE Caron's Simply Soft - it's my favorite cheap yarn by far!! I use it for the 5-hour-baby-sweater... one skien I get a hat, booties and the sweater!! Not bad for a $2.49 homemade gift that any new mom loves because it's soft and washable!!!

Oh wow... that color is gorgeous! I think that would make a wonderful baby blanket paired with some white and maybe a bright lime green. Then again, I tend to like colors that no one else would like! *grin*
