words cannot express...

how Kyoto has tried me, again and again. I was a young, idealistic knitter of just one year when I started it.
The latest: While weaving in ends, I notice a lump of yarn. I start tugging. Voila! Hole! I don't have the cord for my camera right now or I would you show you. I think I must've overlapped the yarn for a ton of stitches and that was the issue, usually now I just do 1-3 stitches, but what do I know? It's been so long since I knit the fronts I couldn't possibly remember.
I must finally defer to the experts on this one, I am going to one of the LYSes sometime this week to get some bigtime help. Ugh.
Spring/Summer knits: Will I delay the start of the AV deep V in favor of one of these?

I love the new Glampyre pattern, Orangina. It just so happens I have some orange Classic Elite Flash mercerized cotton that would make a lovely one of these. Of course, there are several issues.

This next garmet is from the newest Vogue Knitting. I have had lukewarm feelings about boleros in the past, but I like this one. I'd have to buy yarn of some sort, but maybe not that much? I don't know, I'm justifying.Of course, the largest size is 46 or 48 open, and I'd need 50 open. Note that she hasn't touched her cake.

Just typing this has made me tired, perhaps I will stick to the nice Adrienne Vitadini pattern that doesn't need resizing. They had her spring book at Fabric Place and I was dismayed to realize that for some reason the sizes are much smaller. (44 as largest size instead of 52"!) Hopefully this is a glitch and in the future they will continue to have larger sizes.

Oh Betsy, it's just time to finish up that Kyoto as soon as you can and start something new and exciting! I don't care whether you do the AV sweater, or the Glampyre tank (very cute!), or the Vogue bolero. Although I have to say that other knitting pals might care - under some peer pressure I started the VPCardigan before the AV sweater!

I wouldn't be surprised if the cake were laquered and glued to look better for the photoshoot... But yes, my knitting group likes to talk about menopause and just give me *just you wait. uh huh uh huh* looks. LOL. I actually know who is on what type of hormone control (note - always get exactly what you need and don't let your doc put you on a "coverall" birth control pill 'cause it will probably screw you over later in life. End of too much information and odd looks). Somehow, I doubt my bust size is too much information in retribution. Maybe I'll mention stinky feet, too. That came up since someone got the plastic boots to show off her socks.

I purchased the Orangina, and to resize, you just add 9 stitches for every size you need bigger. I, too, am a busty gal, and I have had no problem.

I hate looking at the patterns and seeing just those smaller sizes too. I'm not the most mathmatically inclined person, so I haven't really attempted resizing anything yet. At least those go up to a 44/46. The patterns at Rowan kill me when they consider a 40 an xl.

I love those two you are looking at too.

I love the new Vogue knitting mag. That little bolero is so cute, but I'm not sure that it will be flattering to my 49" bust. I have an hourglass figure and I'm still trying to figure out what styles of garments to wear/knit!

Perservere with Kyoto! I bet you will be soooo relieved when it's finally finished.

I love the glampyre pattern too! I'm really into the spring sweaters this year, whereas before, I was basically thinking "Summer...New England...sweater...NO."

I hope something new catches your eye soon!

I like the bolero, I especially like the raglan shaping. Glampyre is adorable but bra straps will show, unless you knit in an attached bralette :^)

I love the bolero; its on my list of things to knit. I haven't seen the Vittadini book yet - I've got most of them but haven't tried to locate the most recent one. Disappointing about the sizes.

The bolero should be an easy upsize too as most raglans follow a pretty established set of rules. I've got to upsize it too.

Best,
Jenanne
