Because I was at TYF last night and I forgot all my knitting*, I had to start a new project, natch. It was "Siesta Thursday" which means Terry and Fred gave in to our whining and stayed open until 10, so I wasn't budging.
Of course, I started a project with awesome self-striping Cotton Joy, but it's for a STUPID baby and I don't want to risk the fetus surfing onto the blog and peeking at it's new present. Stupid pre-natal internet access.
But anyway, I also got to buy new needles, finally my first pair of Bryspun circs! <3<3 <3 The only thing I don't love about Bryspun is their little too-bendy, too-blunt sock needles.
KiKi taught me how to do a long tail cast-on with two ends of the same ball, therefore eliminating the ever-present "how much do I need?" question, and the waste or frogging tears that always ensue. Where have you been all my life, KiKi? Oh yeah, Indiana.
We also finally got to meet Illanna after almost a year of living in the same area and shopping at the same LYS. :)
Tonight is Harry Potter Charmed Knits knitalong Night #2. I have hear rumors of tea-leaf readings.
We are working on the Mrs. Weasley Stitch Witchery Bag, but there's not a good picture of it online. It's a slip stitch bag worked in five pieces.
So just for a little color, I thought we would look at some stolen images of Mrs. Weasley from across the internet and see if we can get ratted out for bandwidth theft.
