The stuff dreams are knit of

I actually had a dream I was making a sweater. Kind of amazing, since a.) I live in AZ. b.) I haven't finished a garment in over a year.
I'm pretty resolved to rip out my Classic Elite premiere (pima tencel) coral Hourglass sweater. The length is wrong and it needs to be be reknit so the decreases are in the right place. Who knows if that will happen?
The stuff of blissful night time reveling?
The Bedjacket from Knitting Lingerie Style, of course.

It's been ages since I purchased a sweater's worth of yarn, and I'm hesitant. I'm considering substituting the self-same Classic Elite Premiere for the pattern yarn, which is wool and cotton. But I know it will have tons more drape and softness, and I'm not sure how that will affect the overall look of the garment. Opinions?
Obviously, I am not in love with that color, either. It would be nice in the coral, or a nice sagey or pale apple color. I think it needs to stay in almost the same tone, it would lose its vintage appeal and detailing in a darker color. Other color ideas for my skin tone? I can never find the right shade of pink, either.

Check out the Napoleon shot.

Holy crap, I actually finished something?

Alright, alright, so I'm blogging from work because I'm realy tired and I really can't face the tasks I have set to me today. But nevertheless, we finally blocked my sweet darling's birthday gift (only two and a half months behind schedule) and I thought you might like to see the Lacy Lamb in action. Happily, it grew quite a bit when we blocked it, since I was a little concerned about the length.

And, lucky for me, my darling took all the photots, so all I have to do is post them:

(Oh well, that's a little annoying, I forgot that MT likes to restart a post when you upload an image. Maybe I ought to show the other two via Flickr.)

Here's the edging. It's worked sideways, and then you pick up along one edge for the scarf. Pretty clever.

This is a nice arty shot of the main lace pattern, which was nice, simple, repetitive, and I still managed to screw up four or five times, resulting in much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Well, that does it. It looks like we're back in swing making stuff now, and we'll both be hard pressed to avoid playing around with Ravelry which might keep me chronicalling the "In Progress" shots a little more than I usually do.
