clearing the cobwebs
Wow, this is a hollow spam net, a former shell of a knitting blog. :) Or some other mixed metaphor.
We're getting married! No, for real! July 29! We just started planning at the beginning of this month so there's lots to do and not a lot of knitting going on. Also, after my recent trip to visit my grandmother, I've been doing a little embrodiery and cross stitch.
So anyway, don't give up on us. I haven't really stopped knitting, although the idea fills Omar with dread. I've convinced him that my replacement hobby is collecting state quarters.
Uhm, you guys like pictures?
Centerpiece idea:

Our venue, a natural science center:

And last but seriously NOT least, my dress, which is waiting for me at the post office right now after a long trek from the UK.

And the shoes that I hope work, ordered from Zappos last night:

If Omar wants to blog about his own thoughts/attire about the wedding, he can do it himself!
I hope the aesthetic preview has not ruined anything for those of you who will attend. ;)
I don't think there will be any knitted elements to this wedding, well, only one. But you'll have to wait to see that.

I've been to Zappos in search of those shoes and it's proving a fruitless endeavor. IF you have time after the nuptuals and celebrating would you mind sharing the name of the shoe style or maker? Congratulations to you both. Do you have to share your stash?
