Sockapaloooza: the big finish
I am done with my sockapaloooza socks! I am a bit late, but I hope my sock pal will forgive me. This is my first real design. I mean, I've "freehanded" plenty of stuff, but I haven't ever actually had to follow my own directions. :) She gave me a lot of freedom and I really took advantage of it.
I dubbed these socks Bobble Bing! after Omar and I spent awhile debating various machinations of every pun possible :)
Thank you to my lovely foot model, Ms. Bestitched! We know these Born-and-Fluevog loving tootsies are used to high fashion! As Nick kept saying on Project Runway, my models are my muses!
A close up of the bobbles, picot, and slip-stitch cuff:
These will be washed tonight, dry overnight, and go out in the post tomorrow!
I will be publishing the pattern on the blog soon. Right now I have a bunch of jumbly notes, and it's going to take some serious alchemy to turn it into pattern gold.
But that's not all! My sock pal, unlike me, was very timely. I received my socks on Thursday. I like the colors and they fit nicely. Thank you, Elsbeth!
I'm working on some wee little baby socks to detox from the pressure of Sockapaloooza. Then it's back to the grind, I've got a lot of knitting deadlines coming up. I need my Knitpicks order to arrive so I can start working on the felted basket for my friend's wedding.

They came out so nice! And Ms. B is a great model - look at that toe extension! Nice close-up of the cuff, too.

I'm glad they made it there okay -- I just barely finished, I was sewing in ends on Tuesday morning ...
