candy corn
This sock has been done for weeks, sulking in the bottom of my knitting bag while I move on to other orange knitting. I want to finish the pair by halloween, though, for obviously reasons. The yarn is an interesting cotton invisibly plied with those slubs of microfiber you see pictured. It's Gefrida Maori.
I can't bring myself to take a progress picture of the wrap sweater. Trust me, it's a big orange trapezoid. I really don't feel like putting it on waste yarn or longer needles (even to try it on). BUT I did have my mom send me some fabulous antique buttons from her grandmother. The picture isn't the greatest, but you can see my choices on the fabric of the sweater. Sometimes my camera likes to remind me that it is vastly more intelligent that I am, and I haven't put enough work into our relationship.
I like the tortoise shell buckles, but I'm not sure about a buckle closure. The flower is actually a clip which I don't think would actually do for a closure, but mom sent it in the same I'm sort of liking the big pink button, even though the color combo is a bit odd. Thoughts?

I like the pink...it might be the three button hole thing...you could also make it work if you layered it on top of another button or used beads when sewing it on (you know...sew up through the hole...slide on a bead larger than the hole..and sew back through the same hole....) if you don't know what I mean email me and I will take a picture;)
plus I love the socks...comfy, squishy, delightful

I love the photo of your orange sock! The buckles are nice, maybe you can work with them?
