Yarn Over Easy?

Apparently I have never had to do a yarn over while purling before, because I'm swatching for the gorgeous Estonian Lullaby Blanket and they just aren't there.
Example:
(-: P
O: YO
V: K
chart reads:

- - O V V

Here's how I perform this:
KK(leave yarn in back)PP

It seem to create a yarn over on the needle, but on the even row when I purl it, it basically disappears.

What gives?

I am in desperate like with this pattern. Help!

after knitting the second stitch, bring the yarn between the needles towards you, then up and over the needle away from you - so that if you were to turn the needle and look at it with the point facing you, the yarn would be wound counter clockwise 360 degrees. Bring the yarn back between the needles to the front again and purl. When you get to the next row, the YO should look like a regular YO.

With yarn in front as if to purl, toss it over the needle, bring it back under to the front as if to purl, purl! This kinda looks like a m1 from a bar.

Did you read my saga to treacherous yarn overs?

Make sure you aren't twisting the stitch when you knit it on the next row. You can wrap any old way you want, but you might have to knit through the back look of the YO is situated incorrectly on your needle.
